Based on SnapGene's system requirements, it appears that SnapGene Viewer 7.2.1 requires macOS 11 or later.
The following systems are supported by SnapGene (and probably SnapGene Viewer) according to the developer:
SnapGene 5.2.5 or earlier: macOS 10.12.
SnapGene 5.3 - 6.0: macOS 10.13 or later.
SnapGene 6.1 - 7.0: macOS 10.14 or later.
SnapGene 7.1 or later: macOS 11 or later.

This is “SnapGene”, not “SnapGene Viewer”. The last version of “SnapGene Viewer” was 7.2.1, and it has been integrated into “SnapGene” since version 8.0.

Starting with version 8, SnapGene and SnapGene Viewer are supplied as a single app, and SnapGene 8 functions in Viewer mode when used without a license.
The final version of the standalone "SnapGene Viewer" is 7.2.1, and the download URL is as follows:

From version 8.0 onwards, SnapGene is integrated with SnapGene Viewer. If SnapGene 8 is run without a license, then it will run in Viewer mode.
